Never has there been a more important moment in our lifetime than right now to belong to organizations whose sole purpose is to advocate on your behalf. As a member of the Campbell River & District Chamber of Commerce you are also a member of the BC Chamber of Commerce (BCCC) as well as the Canadian Chamber of Commerce (CCC). They alone represent over 220,000 businesses of all sizes, from all sectors, from coast to coast to coast — fighting for public policies that benefit businesses, communities and families across Canada.
The CCC leadership meets regularly with the Prime Minister and maintains daily communication with Ministers — ensuring that your voice is being heard. The BC Chamber of Commerce mirrors these efforts provincially with the Premier and the BC Ministers.
Only weeks into the pandemic crisis the Canadian Chamber of Commerce established the Canadian Business Resilience Network bringing together its vast network — 450 chambers of commerce and boards of trade, over 100 of Canada’s leading business and industry associations, including the Business Council of Canada, the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business, the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters and the Retail Council of Canada, to help the business community prepare, persevere and ultimately, prosper as we collectively face the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is the power of membership.
