2026 Municipal Election All Candidate Debates
The Campbell River & District Chamber of Commerce, the Campbell River Mirror and the Tidemark Theatre Society are co-hosting a series of debates for all candidates running in the BC Municipal Election on October 17, 2026.
The public is invited to attend in-person at the Tidemark Theatre — seating is on a first come first serve basis — or watch the LIVE stream on the Tidemark Theatre website — or watch the recording the next day on the Campbell River & District Chamber’s YouTube channel.
NOTE: The public are invited to send their questions to: exdir@crchamber.ca
Doors open at 6:30pm — debates will run from 7:00 to 9:00pm.
DEBATE DATES
Thursday, Oct 1 – Strathcona Regional Area Director Candidates
Monday, Oct 5 – Mayoral Candidates
Tuesday, Oct 6 – Council Candidates
Wednesday, Oct 7 – Council Candidates
Thursday, Oct 8 – School Board Trustee Candidates / Council if needed
NOTE: There are 2 dates set aside for Council candidates as there can only be 6 individuals on the stage at a time.
Close of Nominations is September 11.
