Membership Specialist
JOB DESCRIPTION 2025
The Campbell River & District Chamber of Commerce has been in existence since 1931. The very first chamber was founded in 1750 in Halifax. Our sole purpose is to advocate — fighting for policies that benefit businesses, communities, and families across Canada and in addition, we offer cost saving benefits that helps everyone’s bottom lines.
The Canadian Chamber leadership meets regularly with the Prime Minister and maintains near daily communication with the Federal Ministers and their staff — ensuring that front line voices are being heard. The BC Chamber of Commerce mirrors these efforts provincially with the Premier and the BC Ministers. Members of the Campbell River & District Chamber are part of the largest and most dynamic network in our country representing over 200,000 businesses and organizations. The collaborative work towards a dynamic wholistic and forward-thinking approach continues in earnest every single day at every level — local, provincial and national.
By increasing our membership, our main source of income, we expand our ability to provide valuable resources, advocacy, networking, and promotional opportunities—directly helping more businesses grow and prosper.
The Membership Specialist will play a crucial role in our organization by actively engaging with the business community, recruiting new members, and ensuring all members maximize their Chamber benefits. This role is ideal for an individual who is driven and passionate about supporting business and the whole of the community.
Our organization has untapped growth to be found in nearly 3,000 businesses and organizations throughout the city and district. We are seeking an individual who can build meaningful connections with local businesses and organizations and demonstrate the power of the chamber network. Explain to us why you are the right person to expand our reach and strengthen our network.
